1. Who We Are

Closr Today is a trade name of Result Engineers B.V. We are the controller for the personal data in this privacy statement. That means we decide why and how your data is processed.

This statement covers our website, Mijn Closr (our online environment for professionals), the links we share with clients and our recruitment services.

2. Consent to Store Your Contact Details

We only store contact details that you give us yourself, or that we have another lawful reason to hold. By sharing your contact details with us, you consent to us storing them and using them to contact you about our services. This applies to everyone we work with:

• Professionals (candidates): when you create a profile in Mijn Closr, you tick a box to agree that Closr stores your details and may contact you. We record the date, the version of this statement, your IP address and your browser, so we can show when and how you gave consent.
• Clients and their contact persons: when you request an offer, accept our terms or share your contact details with us, you agree that we store the name, job title, email address and phone number of you and the colleagues involved, and use them to work with you. A client that shares a colleague's details confirms it has informed that colleague.
• Other users: when you register interest in a vacancy, leave a review or contact us, you agree that we store the details you enter and use them for that purpose.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect processing that took place before. Some data we must keep longer by law, such as invoices (see section 10).

3. Mijn Closr: Our Environment for Professionals

Mijn Closr is your personal online environment. You create an account, build your profile and decide what we may do with it.

What we store

• Account: first name, last name, email address, password (stored encrypted, so we can never read it), language and the one-time login codes we email you.
• Profile: phone number, city, country, LinkedIn URL, headline, summary, current role and employer, years of experience, languages, skills, availability, notice period and job search status.
• Work experience and sales profile: previous employers and roles, achievements, team size, customer segments, deal sizes, sales cycles, industries, territories, methods and tools, quota and attainment history, and leadership experience.
• Wishes: preferred roles, seniority, type of employment, hours, KvK registration, interest in interim work, salary, OTE and day rate wishes, lease car, remote work, travel time, regions, industries, motivation and dealbreakers.
• Deal stories: examples of deals you closed, in your own words.
• Documents: your CV, LinkedIn PDF, certificates and other files you upload.
• Videos: intro videos, answers to video questions and deal story videos, including an automatic transcript.
• Messages: chat messages between you and Closr.
• Consent choices: every change, with the date, the version of the text, your IP address and your browser.
• Usage: when you last updated your profile, how complete it is and which intake steps you finished.

What we use it for

• To understand what you're looking for and match you with suitable roles.
• To introduce you to clients, only when you've given consent for that.
• To contact you by email or chat, including reminders about an unfinished profile or unread messages.
• To send you job updates, only if you turned these on.

Your choices in Mijn Closr

Under Account you choose separately whether:

• Closr may share your profile with clients for suitable roles;
• Closr may send you job updates;
• Closr may store and watch your videos;
• Closr may show your videos to clients through a secure link;
• Closr AI may read your CV and video transcripts to fill in your profile.

You can change these choices at any time. Agreeing to this privacy statement is required to use Mijn Closr. If you no longer agree, you can request deletion of your account.

Information from Closr

If we already knew you before you created an account, for example from an earlier conversation, we link your existing profile to your account. Our recruiters also keep notes from conversations with you, such as call notes and their view on fit. These notes are for internal use. You can always ask us what we've noted about you.

4. Sharing With Clients

With your consent, we may introduce you to a client for a specific role:

• Closr CV: an anonymized CV based on your profile. It shows your first name only, never your last name or direct contact details. We only include a photo, age or region when relevant and permitted. Closr stays your point of contact.
• Video link: a secure link to selected videos. The client only sees your first name, your headline and the chosen videos. Each link expires after 7, 14 or 30 days, and we can revoke it at any time. If you withdraw consent for sharing videos, every link stops working right away.
• Full details: we only share your full name and contact details with a client once you've agreed to take the next step with that client.

You can ask us at any time to stop sharing your details, to correct your Closr CV, or to tell you which clients received your details.

5. Closr AI

We use AI to save you and our recruiters time. When you give consent, Closr AI:

• reads your CV, LinkedIn PDF or public LinkedIn profile and suggests profile details. You check every suggestion before it's saved;
• summarizes your video transcripts so our recruiters can prepare for a conversation.

Our recruiters also use Closr AI to turn their own call notes into profile suggestions and to find profiles that fit a role. A recruiter always checks the result. AI never makes decisions about you on its own, and never assesses you on your appearance or voice.

To find good matches faster, Closr AI can also compare your profile with an open role and give a fit score from 0 to 100, with a few short reasons. For this it only reads your work experience, sales profile, skills and wishes. It never uses your name, contact details, date of birth or nationality. Only our recruiters see these scores, never clients. We do this based on our legitimate interest in matching you to suitable roles. Don't want this? Turn off "AI help" in Mijn Closr under Account, and we leave you out of fit scores from then on.

Closr AI runs on Claude, a model by Anthropic. Under Anthropic's business terms, our data is not used to train their models.

6. Other Personal Data We Process

Job board interest registrations

When you register interest in a vacancy through the form on our website, we process:

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Phone number (if provided)
• LinkedIn profile URL (if provided)
• Any message or motivation you share
• The role you registered interest in
• The consent choices you made in the form

We use this to assess your interest and contact you about the role. We only share your details with the hiring company for that vacancy if you gave explicit consent for that in the form. After you submit the form, you receive an automatic confirmation email.

Reviews and testimonials

When you leave a review through a personal link we send you, we process:

• Your name, job title and company (as you provide or confirm them)
• Your star rating and written review
• A photo or company logo (only if you upload one or allow us to use one)
• Your sharing choice: publish with name and photo, publish anonymously, or keep it internal
• Whether you also allow us to use your review on social media
• The date, the version of the consent text and your IP address (to prevent fraud and to prove consent)

We only publish a review when you chose a public option and gave consent for data processing. Our team checks every review before it goes live. If you choose "anonymous", we remove your name, company and photo before publishing. If you choose "private", we only use your feedback internally. You can withdraw your consent or ask us to change or remove a published review at any time. We handle such requests promptly, and always within 30 days.

Clients (employers)

For organizations that use our services, we process:

• Company name and contact persons
• Contact details (email, phone, address)
• KvK number and VAT number
• Bank details for payment
• Role requirements and job specifications
• Communication and correspondence
• Billing information

When we share a professional's videos with you, we record how often the link is viewed and when it was last opened.

Website visitors

When you visit our website, we process:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referral source
• Search terms used
• Device information
• Cookies (see our Cookie Policy)

7. Special Categories of Personal Data

We don't ask for special categories of personal data, such as health, religion, political views or biometric data. Please don't include them in your profile, documents or videos. If you share them anyway, we only use them for the purpose you shared them for.

8. Purposes and Legal Bases

We only process personal data when one of these legal bases applies:

1. Performance of a contract: running your Mijn Closr account, matching, introductions, communicating with you, and invoicing clients.
2. Consent: storing contact details as described in section 2, sharing your profile and videos with clients, storing your videos, Closr AI on your CV and transcripts, job updates, newsletters, analytics and marketing cookies, and publishing reviews.
3. Legitimate interest: recruiters' internal notes, recruiters' use of Closr AI for call notes, search and fit scores, security, fraud prevention, bot protection on our forms, and improving our services. We only rely on this when it doesn't outweigh your interests.
4. Legal obligation: tax and accounting records, and requests from authorities.

9. Where Your Data Is Stored

We work with carefully selected providers. They only process data on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

• Supabase: our database, logins and file storage for CVs and documents. Servers in London, United Kingdom. The European Commission has confirmed that the United Kingdom offers an adequate level of data protection.
• Vercel: hosting of our website and Mijn Closr.
• Mux: storage, playback and automatic transcription of videos.
• Anthropic: Closr AI.
• Apify: reading your public LinkedIn profile when you import it with a link. Apify is based in the Czech Republic (EU).
• Resend: sending emails, such as login codes, reminders and notifications.
• Cloudflare: bot protection on our forms (Turnstile).
• Google and LinkedIn: analytics and advertising cookies, only with your consent.

Vercel, Mux, Anthropic, Resend, Cloudflare, Google and LinkedIn are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We only use these providers with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Documents are kept in private storage. Downloads and video playback only work through short-lived, signed links. We never sell your data.

We also share data when the law requires it, for example with the tax authorities.

10. Retention Periods

We don't keep personal data longer than needed:

• Professionals with an account: as long as your account is active. If you haven't logged in and we've had no contact for 12 months, we delete your profile, unless you tell us you want to keep it.
• Videos: when you record a new take, we delete the old one. Video links for clients expire after 30 days at most.
• After a deletion request: we delete your account, profile, documents and videos within 30 days. We only keep a record of your consents and of the request itself as proof, plus any data we must keep by law.
• Professionals without an account: up to 12 months after our last contact.
• Reviews: as long as the review is published, or until you withdraw consent.
• Clients: during the agreement and seven years after it ends (tax and accounting rules).
• Website visitors: log data and cookies for up to 26 months.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

1. Access: see which personal data we process about you, including our internal notes.
2. Correction: have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
3. Erasure: have your data deleted (the right to be forgotten).
4. Restriction: limit how we process your data.
5. Data portability: receive your data in a structured file.
6. Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
7. Human review: have a person review any decision, rather than automation alone.
8. Withdraw consent: at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

In Mijn Closr you can do much of this yourself. You can edit your profile, change your consent choices, download all your data as a file and request deletion of your account, all under Account.

For anything else, email pieter@closr.today. We respond within one month. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

12. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organizational measures:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Private file storage with short-lived, signed download links
• Signed video playback, so videos can't be opened without permission
• Access only for authorized Closr staff
• Email verification codes when you log in or sign up
• Bot protection on our public forms
• A log of every consent change
• Regular backups

No system is 100% secure. Use a strong password and keep your login details to yourself.

13. Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may update this privacy statement. We publish changes on this page with a new date. If a change affects Mijn Closr, we'll let you know in Mijn Closr or by email.
